The Santa Fe STRA is excited to announce that, with the combined efforts of our board of directors and STR stakeholders from around the state, including Albuquerque and other communities, we will now become the New Mexico Short-Term Rental Association, a statewide organization representing all New Mexico short-term rentals.
Why the change and what this means for SFSTRA members
As our organization has grown and evolved, we’ve kept close communication with contacts and organizations across the state, representing New Mexicans’ right to rent their homes. It’s become clear that regulations are not limited to Santa Fe City and County. We’ve learned from our past efforts that we are stronger in numbers and can accomplish more as a united front than individually. In addition to creating united representation across the state, there is much to be learned from our sister communities and their advocacy efforts that we can all draw upon.
Nothing will change with your membership or your rate
You can keep your plan and access current benefits and new resources through your membership account. In the meantime, you can still access your Santa Fe STRA benefits in your member account.
What’s next
You’ll soon notice we’ll go by a new name and update our branding to reflect this exciting change. Our official name will be the New Mexico Short-Term Rental Association (NMSTRA). The NMSTRA is a 501c6 nonprofit organization, and memberships will still be business tax-deductible.
